Aberdeen University Boat Club is one of the largest and most successful clubs at the University of Aberdeen. We were founded in 1870 and have boathouse on the banks of the River Dee. We are run by students, for students and our success is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of all those involved in rowing for Aberdeen University.
If you are interested in rowing at Aberdeen, want to know more about the sport in general, or are just thinking of staying in shape while enjoying student life in Aberdeen, we are the club for you. Membership is open to all and you need not be a student to row at the club. Rowing is great sport to be a part of and is a good way of meeting new people and representing the University at local and national events. We have two dedicated coaches, three brand new boats and the changing rooms have recently been refurbished. We also have a thriving social scene and encourage rowers of all abilities to achieve their potential. There has never been a better time to row for Aberdeen University.
If you wish to know more, please get in touch by emailing us. Everyone is welcome, from those wanting a paddle on a Wednesday afternoon to more hardened athletes looking to improve fitness and compete.
